Gun Violence Awareness Site Offers Impartial Views And Understanding Of Current Issues

By Kenya Saab

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding gun ownership in the United States lately. Some concerns are rising about the growth of the gun culture in our world and what is causing its popularity. There have been many instances of violent crimes reported in the news and locally and people are searching for solutions to quell this trend. There is now a website that explores these issues concerning gun ownership and gun violence and is seeking to encourage positive and intelligent discourse coming from both sides of the issue.

Not affiliated with a particular organization, the site respectfully examines First and Second Amendment rights as they're written in the Constitution. Some people unwaveringly defend these rights, while others believe that the Bill of Rights was written so long ago that the right to bear arms needs to be rewritten to reflect current values.

This site was formed with the idea of educating people by giving them the information they need to make informed decisions and to give them views from all sides and perspectives on the subject of gun ownership. The blog talks about topics such as gun control and what the media is doing to stir up our opinions and views about gun ownership shaping how we view the issues. It also takes some of the mystery away regarding gun laws so people can better understand what they are really about. A site visitor can also read about the many benefits of owning a gun as well as read about the history of gun's in America, handgun restrictions and it also discusses whether we really need guns at all as American citizens.

The site also has a social media presence and visitors can submit blog posts or comment on issues already being discussed. To ensure that the site complies with First Amendment Rights, the website is based on the idea that people are free to voice their opinions and views so long as it is done so in a polite manner. Being politically correct is not a requirement but is considered a courtesy.

Any derogatory or demeaning language based on religion, gender, race or other opinions will not be tolerated on this website.

More than just exploring Constitutional rights, the gun rights forum considers how checks and balances should be applied to gun laws, what provisions would be included if they were modified, and how to strike a balance between promoting safety and protecting freedom. Viewers are strongly encouraged to contribute to the discussion surrounding gun violence and the right to "keep and bear arms."
